My photos of the Ruins of St .Paul's, Macau

The famous landmark of Macau from 14-16 March, 2010

Day 1: Afternoon

The first time I saw it, I thought: Marvellous!

There was a lot of people, I didn't anticipate that many.

After dropping my backpack in the hostel, I came back and took many great photos.

The front part from the bottom up. Amazing, huh?

Day 2: Noon

There are 66 stairs leading up to the facade. I love the garden, so delightful.

The view down to the piazza below.

A Japanese tourist on the left, below the piazza, top left building the resort Grand Lisboa.

The facade from another angle.

The opposite angle.

The Ruins of St. Paul's from the front. It was really a hot sunny day.

The structure from behind. On the right side are the stairs leading up to the 1st floor.

It was a bit scary to stand on this steel walkway.

A common sight: Tourists from China waving down to everyone else. No idea why they do that.

Behind the facade are some of the ruins under protective glass. The church was quite big.

View through the window on the first floor. It's custom to leave coins for good luck. You can see Macau Tower.

The ruins seen from a small street below.

A view from the side. It's obvious how thin the whole structure is.

Day 3: Early morning

My last photo, taken in the morning around 7.30. Some people were already taking photos.

So how do you like the Ruins of St. Paul's? What's your impression?
