The OUB Centre together with the UOB Plaza One and the Republic Plaza, is one of the 3 tallest skyscrapers in Singapore. It's 280m tall, has 63 floors and it's mainly used as an office building. There is a shopping mall at the bottom named One Raffles Place. Another tower is being built near the current OUB Centre and will be completed in 2011 (here's a renderering). The whole building will subsequently be renamed as One Raffles Place. I think they're destroying the original building with this. A pity, since Singapore doesn't have a lot of notable and high quality buildings.

Another good panchan.....
This sesame leaf makes a great panchan, goes well with just about any meal, and compliments white rice the best! I love eating it during the hot summer. It seems to cool down my mouth with it’s refreshing crisp taste. The taste is very similar to a mint leaf but just marinated with red pepper and soy sauce. Yummy!

Sultan Mosque/Masjid Sultan, Singapore
Singapore's majestic mosque
The pedestrian area near the mosque is full of small shops with souvenirs.
The Sultan Mosque (Malay Masjid Sultan) was completed in 1928 and is today one of the biggest and most important mosques in Singapore. It's located in Kampong Glam, east of the central Singapore. The closest subway station to the mosque is BUgis MRT station (the mosque on the map).

The UOB Plaza (United Overseas Bank Plaza or 大华银行大厦) is a complex of two high-rise buildings in Singapore. The UOB Plaza One is with its 280m one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city, the smaller UOB Plaza Two shares the post-modernist design of the first building, but only tops out at 162m. The UOB Plaza is one of the 3 skyscrapers in Singapore that are 280m tall: The other two are OUB Centre and Republic Plaza.

Another beautiful day.....
Today I enjoyed another day off and spent it stuffing my face with what else, food. Yes sir, nothing like a good ol' stomach stuffing to bring your spirits up and going. Well, at least for me that is.
I love when the city prepares for fall = pumpkin spicy latte!! Yummy! And yes, I'll take the whip cream on top! ^_^

My boricha tea that I carry around with me everywhere.
Today was just beautiful!
This is kind of cute. A coffee cup "jacket" that holds your "coffee on the go" packet. I should replace the Starbucks with Maxim!! That's more like it.
Ended the night with a nice dinner with my concierge team......
Man, after a 4 course meal I was convinced my stomach was carrying a food baby.....T_T
Out with the girls
I've been so busy with work and school lately I needed a break with my girlfriends. We decided to all take the whole day off and just let loose!! Ok, not too loose but we did cease the opportunity and used up all the hours of the day to stay productive and busy with fun!! The day started nice with some horseback riding, followed by lunch, sprinkled with some mall shopping, added in a chick flick ("Easy A") and topped with Wal-mart. Yes, I was definitely pooped and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the sack.
