Trip to Ljubljana, 2007

Take a walk around the capital of Slovenia

Stritar street/Stritarjeva ulica.

I went to Ljubljana in September 2007 with my ex girlfriend on a day trip. We were walking around the old center, went for lunch in a Japanese restaurant in Nazorjeva and then home. It was a short trip, but a good one. It was a bit colder already, but not too cold. The sun was shining strongly. We had a simple camera, no DSLR, hence the photos are of modest quality. Nevertheless, they're a document of time.

See my images of Ljubljana from that day:

Ljubljanica river and Plečnik's arcades.

Franciscan church.

Ljubljana's cathedral stolnica.

Ljubljanska vzpenjača or the funicular (or inclined) railways to Ljubljana's castle.

Stolnica as seen from Town square/Mestni trg.

City Hall of Ljubljana/Mestna hiša Ljubljanska.

Mestni trg/Town hall.

Stara Ljubljana/Old Ljubljana.

Statue of France Prešeren on Prešeren square.

TR3 and TR2 buildings.

Also known as Ljubljana's twin towers.

The castle of Ljubljana/Ljubljanski grad.

University of Ljubljana/Univerza v Ljubljani.

Ljubljanski zmaj/Dragon of Ljubljana.

Fall is here!!!

I'm so glad autumn has arrived to the lovely desert state! I've been longing for the cool wind to sweep across my face during those hot as hell days!!! It's finally cooled down to the 80's and the rain has been visiting quite often.

I've been so busy with school and work I don't know what I'm doing have the time. Luckily, I have the (Korean) girls to help me with my homework at work. Hahaha!! That knocks one bird out.

I love the cooler weather! Something about shopping for boots, scarves, and jackets is so.........warming. :P Did I also mention the cinnamon smelling candles??? Candles are my favorite house decor!! It's a must in my book. I think I give at least 5 out of 10 friends a candle for Christmas....... ^_^ So nice of me, huh? Hehe

I love you, fall!!

Trip to Ljubljana 2008, part 1

Take a walk around Slovenia's capital

Prešeren square, the center of Ljubljana.

This is part 1 of my trip to Ljubljana from March 2008. I had a meeting at my faculty, which was in the afternoon, but I decided to go to Ljubljana early and walk around. I usually take the train from Maribor to Ljubljana and I have to go earlier, because I need between 2 to 3h from my home to the faculty. Ljubljana was cold on that day, but that didn't hold me back to take photos of the historic center. I enjoyed myself. The only pity is the quality of my photos. I had a simple camera, no DSLR. That's why take these photos as a historic document of Ljubljana, nothing more. And a day in my life I want to remember. I hope you will enjoy my photos. There are 4 parts of this series with 9 big sized photos each.

Take a walk around Ljubljana (March 2008) with me:

Statue of Athena, Austrian Parliament, Vienna

Pallas-Athena-Brunnen, Vienna

I love Taipei!

Photo taken in Vienna, Aug 2010, of a statue in front of the Austrian parliament. The statue of the Greek Goddess Athena is above the fountain, which is in front of the Austrian Parliament building. The photos is a zoom of the statue taken from a side (in direction of Rathaus).
