Boba Drinks!

Boba drinks (also known as bubble tea)are one of my absolute favorite drinks!!! I've never had one or even heard of them until 2 years ago my good friend introduced them to me at a Vietnamese restaurant. Some are familiar with them while others are probably like "What IS a boba drink?" Well, for those that have not experienced the wonderful yumminess here is a description for you. They come in various tea flavors or more exotic fruit flavors.

What would I do without these now that I've discovered them! My favorite flavor is the coffee slush. It's not too sweet or not to "coffee strong" either. It was the right amount of balance.

It's funny when I'm drinking these at work or at the mall. People (non asians) are always asking me what the heck am i drinking. Sometimes I don't mind, but my coworkers can really drag it on for awhile!!!

Me-*slurping my delicious boba*
coworker- What are you drinking?
me- Oh, it's a coffee slush with tapioca.
coworker- Huh? Is that something new from Starbucks I don't know about??
me- Uhh, no. It's actually from a asian restaurant
coworker- Hmm, why is your straw so big and thick??
me- To get the tapioca balls out
coworker- The what?? Let me see! Are those those brown balls on the bottom??
me- Yeah, they're good. Kinda taste like a gummi bear
coworker- Eeewww!! Looks gross!!!! Why would you drink that??
me-*annoyed* Why would you waste your time caring?
coworker-*still curious and dying to taste it, haha* Whatever, what if you like choke on those? Has that ever happened?
me- No! Do you just want me to give you some to try?? *gettin really irritated*
coworker- Nooooo, it's okay.....just asking,...... geez. *still s-t-a-r-i-n-g at me*
me- walks off.....to hide the boba drink so that way it's not examined or touched by curious hands....or sipped out off! lol*

As i'm looking for a safe haven....all the OTHER coworkers I walk by start the same cycle. "EEW! What is in your hand? What are you drinking???"
