It wasn't until 2 weeks ago I came across something new. My friend and I stopped into Macy's so she could finally try out the Lancome Juicy Tube I'm always raving about to her. (Spring Fling is my favorite.) It just so happened that Lancome was having a great promotion where you buy $35 worth of makeup and get these great free sample products with it. So my friend picked out the juicy tube and a mascara. The sales lady looked at me (in hopes that I would purchase something as well) and offered to show me some of their popular products.
I wasn't really on the look out for new makeup and normally I would buy the juicy lipgloss, but I had just purchased one a month ago. So therefor the lady sold me on their dual finish powder. She stated the fact that I had really nice skin, but this would help make my face look flawless. (I liked her tactic and gave in to her sales pitch. Plus she even took the time to give me a whole makeover practically.)
Now that this powder is in my possession I must say I'm in love with it. At first I didn't think it was going to be anything special, but it worked out in my favor.
With my face easily getting oily this was the coverage I was looking for. My pores weren't visible, the powder wasn't cakey, and it really did even out my skin tone making my face look smooth and flawless like the sales lady said.
This compact can be used as a foundation or a finishing powder. I've only used it as a powder because I don't need that extra coverage. Another bonus is the rose-like smell. They do offer the unscented version but I find the scent pleasant and refreshing. This compact is worth the investment ($35) if you're looking for good (not really heavy) coverage and to even the skin tone. It also works well with hiding blemishes and red spots/bumps (like unexpected pimples.)
Oh, and here are my free goodies I got with this purchase. I'm in love with their Hypnose mascara. I've never tried it before up until now, and I think I'll be adding the full version to my list. And of course I got more juicy tubes! I love that lipgloss. It keeps my lips moisturized for hours! Surprisingly the lipstick color suited me well. That's all I've been wearing to work these last 2 weeks. ;) It looks dark in the pictures, and even in person as well, but once I put it on it had a nice perky red touch to it.
