Losing your phone probably has to be one of thee worst things.Luckily for me, it hasn't happened......yet. *knocking on wood* Yesterday I was frantically texting my friend and wondering why I wasn't getting a response.
"Hello?? What are you doing??"
"Are you there?"
"I know you're out of school.....call me!"
"Okay....not to seem psycho....but......text back!"
No answers........
Five hours go by.
*Work phone ringing* "Hello?" I answer
"Michelle!! It's me. I lost my phone!!!"
"What???? Where??"
"I think while I was in class. That was the last time I saw it. I'm so mad!"
"Oh my gosh! Are you sure? Maybe it's in your car or something?"
"No, because right when I was leaving class to check my messages that's when I noticed it missing."
"Well, good thing you have your lock app on it."
"Uh.....yeah. About that. I actually took it off last night. Figures, with my luck."
"You took off your phone lock!! Why would you do that??
"I don't know. It was just a pain unlocking everything just to check my email and facebook. Of course, I'm regretting it now. But I have the gps locator so I'll call the police once I locate it. I feel so violated."
*sigh* "Wow....I don't know what to say. Call your carrier and have them shut your phone off so that way who ever has it can't rack up your phone bill."
"Yeah........but I want my phone back!!"
I couldn't imagine that feeling of losing my phone....actually, I take that back. I can. I would die! I have too much personal information on my phone. I'm automatically signed in to my bank account, my facebook, my blog, my gmail....and my juicy text messages. :P
Her text messages!! Just thinking about it I check our conversations just to see what the thief had the pleasure of reading on my friend's phone.....
Yeah, it's pretty juicy. :/ It has conversations of where we work, people we can't stand, our plots (haha), my new job I applied for, which boss we hate, pictured of me in the changing room asking her for her opinions on bathing suits, my face!!, plans for lunch meet ups..........just too much for a stranger to know. :( I feel violated too! HA.
Now this person not only knows who this phone belongs to, but where she works, what she looks like, people she works with, family member's information, and personal account access. Talk about total exposure.... :(Moral of the story- Download a phonelock app......and lock everything up like a chastity belt. ;)
Good note- my coworker brought in sushi for lunch. YUM!
