Sometimes something so simple can be so good.

I've been on the move

Man, oh man, have I been busy. I barely managed to get my regular 7-8 hours of sleep in the last month. My face is starting to show for it with the unwelcome pimples and puffy face. My healthy eating habit pretty much disappeared and my yoga routine has not been exercised. I need to get back on track, snap back into it!


My month in a flash....


- As you all know, I'm still hooked on Fashion King. Come on episode 11! I don't know who's side to pick, Jung Jae Hyuk or Kang Young Gul......I'm torn at this point. I noticed Viki.com updates the sub episodes quicker than MySoju.com.  Next show on my list, King 2 Hearts. Thanks to the recommendation from my friend, Mai Nhia Thao (MNT), I'll be glued to the computer screen for another couple of hours a day.


- My birthday passed. While last year was spent eating sushi, gambling some play money, and dancing the night away, this year was a little more toned down. There was delicious Korean food, soju, and some friendly competitive bowling. Pictures soon to come.


- My best friend is having a baby. This leaves me with the responsibility of throwing her THEE best baby shower. Can you guess what theme we came up on? That's right- Hello Kitty. 


- Work has been steadily busy. I can't wait for the summer to come and calm this storm out.


- Oh. I applied for a job. Even though I love what I do now I always wonder what it would be as a Flight Attendant. Yep, I did it. Do I think I'll actually get it? Probably not. I think I did it just on a whim, an impulse. A friend of mine told me about it and we applied together. Now looking back, I wish it was for an international airline. Domestic is alright, but........we all know how crummy our American airlines can be. One word: Rude! 


- Speaking of flying, I'll be going to Korea again in two days! That's right. I can't wait! I swear, one day I'll wind up living there.


- I'm sad that Picnik.com closed down. Really sad. I've been using that picture program ever since I discovered it. What I am to do now?? Any recommendations on other good free photo editing sites?


- I finally cooked that Trader Joe's Kimchi Fried Rice. It was pretty good, surprisingly. Definitely worth the $2.69 and the time saved from making it from "scratch." (not that it takes that much effort to begin with.) I updated my post with some pictures.


- I've been doing some more hiking on my days off. I've been getting this urge lately to be more.....outdoorsy. 


- Have you tried Sean T's "Insanity" workout? It is so intense. My throat burns with exhaustion every time I finish. I can only do 15 minutes comfortably at a time. Yeah, I'm still a rookie.


- Next year (aside from visiting France again) I want to backpack Korea. I've never done the whole backpacking thing, but it's currently gained my interest and I'm doing some Googling on it.


- I picked up this book two days ago after a recommendation from a coworker. I'm already half way through and all I can say is, my oh my. Definitely rated M for Mature. I just had to see for myself what the hype was with this "bestseller."

A photo that........

Takes my breath away

This scenery was so beautiful. The fog was surrounding the green mountain top where you can see the Buddhist temple hiding through the trees. 

Makes me laugh or smile

As I was passing a pet store I saw this cute little puppy in the display window. She actually had that "blush" on her cheeks. How cute. That totally made me walk right in and pet her to death.

Makes me dream

This was taken in the evening by the shore. Man, how I wish I lived in Jeju.....

Makes me think

I ate raw beef for the first time ever.There's this restaurant that we were introduced to on the island and it was pretty darn good, actually. I was thinking, "Is this safe? Legal? Good?" But in the end, it was a great experience!

Makes my mouth water

Every chance I get, I try to eat grilled fish if served at restaurants. Mackerel's one of my absolute favorite fish. You can only imagine how fresh the taste is compared to the main land.

Tells a story

One day as I was shopping through the street alleys, I had to go pee.....bad. It didn't help that I had coffee for breakfast and I was already holding it in for hours. When I finally came across a public restroom, this is what was behind the door. Umm...hmm. Wasn't sure if I was skilled enough to do and drop-n-squat, so I literally ran to the nearest restaurant and asked to use their toilet. Luckily they were nice and let me. We winded up eating there for lunch.

This was taken Inside one of the Buddhist temples I visited. The details were so fine, bright, beautiful and eye catching.

I made an Easter dinner for the first time

Always grateful for the friends, family and blessings in my life. 


I definitely didn't hold back on dinner tonight.


Sweet Hawaiian bread rolls, spiral honey ham, veggies, buttery mashed potatoes, topped with brown gravy. 


Did I mention there was cake topped with sugary vanilla frosting and confetti sprinkles? Yeah, today was a good day.

Easter Weekend

I've been running around trying to find last minute items for my Easter goody baskets. Naturally, I had to try some spring dresses on while passing through the mall. I fell in love with this soft lilac one from F21. Perfect for the spring. Also, I baked a sweet vanilla cake for tomorrow's dessert topped with sprinkle confetti. Now all I have to do is decide what's for dinner...
