Dress like a (Disney) Princess

Growing up I would watch my disney movies again and again. I could never get tired of my pretty princesses. I remember my Little Mermaid eventually got worn out (from all that cassette winding) that I had to replace it. Don't we all wish we had their prince charmings?

Too good to use

Do you have a favorite shirt, pair of shoes, handbag, or something of that nature that's really nice so you try to use it sparingly?
I catch myself doing this quite often.
I realize saving that special item for that special occasion or moment turns out to be a waste of money and time.
I was reminded of this today when organizing my closet. I came across my Longchamp bag that my mom had given me this year for my birthday. I opened the box and it was still neatly wrapped in the tissue paper unused.
Why?
Why hadn't I used it yet?
I'll tell you- I don't want it to get dirty. I'm saving it for a nice matching outfit. Maybe the right month. The right season. The perfect occasion. I actually appreciate my belongings and try to make them last as long as possible......and so many other excuses I can think of.
What's the point of even having it if I don't use it, right? I guess I get somewhat of a satisfaction knowing that I have a nice brand new purse sitting in my closet waiting to be used. But it would be better if I actually used it and got to look at it everyday (being that I change out my purse like twice a year. ha.) I guess that's just part of being girl. We get things sometimes just because in hopes of one day using it......
I'll be using this bag starting tomorrow. :) Thank you , mom!

Vera Wang- Black Wedding Dresses 2011

How do we feel for black as the new color for a bride? While these styles are beautiful and eye catching, I'm not sure if I could pull these off on my wedding day. I think the overall look and feel to it gives off a slightly dark vibe. These would totally be perfect for a Tim Burton wedding.
What do you think? Is Vera Wang going to succeed in breaking the traditional white wedding dress mold?

Steve Madden 2011

While I was shopping around the mall yesterday I couldn't help but to notice all the new designs Steve Madden came out with. They were always one of my favorite shoe brands, but are they getting better! All these are on my "want" list as of right now. I could do without 2 or 3 of them, but the rest I've got to have. A little tip I'll share- Whenever I see a shoe I like at the department stores I check DSW first. Most (not all) of the time they'll have the shoe I'm looking for for 30-40% cheaper. Same case goes for the Madden's. I found 5 out of these 9 online line for way less. Guess what that means?- I'm off to the store tomorrow!

Oh La Lace

Wearing pantyhose was never really preferred in my book. Once I started working in a more professional environment I had to abide by the work dress codes. Fall and winter wear call for nylon stockings/hosiery if any part of the leg is showing. The pantyhose style seems to never work out for me and always grudges me just thinking about squeezing into them. It's such an inconvenience pulling them up and down (from using the restroom), making sure the crotch area is in the right spot, keeping the stomach control top from squeezing your muffin top to tightly....blah blah blah. Plus no matter how "Medium" or "Large" size I get, the hose always looks like an "Extra Extra Small." The width is as wide as my hand..... *geez*

Good thing I came across these thigh-high stockings with the lace top. These have been a blessing in disguise and work well throughout my 8 hour work shift. The rubber lining helps keep the leggings from sliding down and keeps them securely in place.

At one point I was washing the stockings by hand and getting tired of this routine. ( I just feel like my clothes aren't as clean as they would be from an actual washer.) Luckily I came across this little bra bag at a dollar store. Not only do I use this for bras and delicate clothing, but this comes in handy for stockings and leggings as well.

If you're looking for some nice and comfortable thigh-highs as well try the Victoria's Secret Lace Top ($16) or you can get a cheaper alternative at WalMart with their George Brand Thigh Highs. ($5)

Random Mix

Why, yes it is.

Why can't I find more bags like these?? This is perfect for traveling and vacationing.

I'm such a sucker for prints and these shoes are to die for. Where would I wear these? Who cares.....just anywhere. :)

This is such a perfect look for summer. I'm sad that it's now passed us, but I'm excited for what fall has to bring.

Is anyone else a fan of stacking jewelry? I wish I could pull something like this off. The most I can get away with is like 3 bracelets......and a hair tie.

More jewelry stacking.....Can I have one of those rings? :) I love chunky rings and how they make such a bold statement. Loving the smooth and light makeup look on her.....

Chanel Pre-Fall 2011

I love the fall season. There are so many more layers you can work with and more pieces to add to the wardbrobe. I'm loving the Chanel pre-fall looks...... *eye candy*
