Today I was standing in line behind a guy.
The line was taking awhile to move.
I was getting impatient.
Now standing with my hands crossed over my chest.
Then it hit me……
*an aroma of a man’s cologne*
Mmmmm….All of a sudden I didn’t mind standing in this long line anymore.
I was using the time to figure out what scent he was wearing…. *thinking real hard*
*eyes in deep thought, inhaling smell as much as possible (without being noticeable of course), finger placed on chin in a confused manner.*
Do I or don’t I tap him on the shoulders asking him what he is wearing??
Will his psycho girlfriend pop out of nowhere assuming I’m being flirtatious and putting a move on him?
Will he think I’m being cheesy and trying to spark a flirtatious conversation in hopes of a phone number??
Who cares?!! I need to know what he is wearing!!
“Hi, excuse me. Sorry to bother you but I was just curious to know what cologne you are wearing. It smells really nice on you.” *with my best angelic angel face*
“Oh! Why, thank you! It’s ….uh….*sniffing shirt to recollect thought*…..Oh yeah! It’s ____.”
Ahhh, my next mission; off to a major department store to get that cologne!

There are key factors of attracting women. Everyone has their preferences and knows what they look for. But I think we, as women, can agree on these essential components.
1. Confidence- Now I know this sounds a little vague but with confidence this can make any guy attractive. Feeling insecure about your crooked teeth? Hey, just work with them. As women, yes, I admit we are quick to point out flaws BUT if you work against them we will look past them as well.
2. Great smelling cologne- Notice I put great and not any type of cologne. This is a great staple for any guy and his appearance. Make sure it’s not overpowering like you bathed in it, but enough to where if I give you a hug its noticeable. For guys that prefer not to wear cologne, a good detergent/fabric softener is always a plus as well.
3. Good etiquette- Opening the door for others is always noticed. Always!! Whether it’s for a young lady or older man, manners are always appreciated! Saying “thank you,” or “excuse me” goes a long way as well. I, myself, appreciate it when I’m in the bookstore or something and a guy politely excuses himself or says “I’m sorry, do you mind if I squeeze in here for a second?” That is like music to my ears. Yes, the power of common courtesy.
4. Glasses- Along with etiquette, a guy with glasses is kind of attractive to me. Maybe this falls more on #1? I don’t know what it is, but a guy that decides to wear glasses over contacts shows great confidence in my opinion. The guy isn’t afraid to look like a “nerd” or a “bookworm.” It’s so cute when I go to the school library and see people from my class that usually don’t wear glasses all of a sudden whip them out to do research papers or such. It gives them a more dashing appearance, don’t you think? Or……maybe it’s just my secret fetish?? Hahaha.
5. Fashion sense- I’m not saying you have to know all the brands out there, but at least know that wearing capri pants with flip flops is not cool…….unless you’re more on the …… gleeful side. J Now, I did notice that guys from Korea where capris…..and……..somehow they pull it off really well. Hahaha.
