Happy New Year!!!!

Well well well. It is officially a new year. What am I to do with myself?? I know what a lot of you guys are thinking? "What's my new year's resolution??" I'm sure the majority of everybody's is to lose weight, get richer, study harder, be nicer, work better, etc. Mine: go to freakin' Korea in May!!!! I know I've been rambling about this for months now but you have to understand the story behind my obsessive goal to go this year.

You see, about 3-4 years ago I had this exact trip planned for Korea. I bought my ticket, saved up all my money and PTO, got some extra cute outfits, bragged about this trip to all my friends...etc. That week couldn't be any sweeter. I was sooo stoked on finally going and ready to have a blast. The night before my departure Anthony's mom called to make sure we were all packed and ready to go. We reassured her that we had everything we needed. Then it hit her,"Did you make sure Michelle had her passport?!" Anthony reassured his mom. Just to put her at ease I ran up to the bedroom to retrieve it. Just as I was handing it to him, tears busted out and I started bawling.........Why the tragic moment you may ask? Well, even though I had my passport and it was set for the correct month (June) ....I saw that it was the wrong YEAR!!!! It had expired LAST June. My stupid stupid stupid self quickly over looked the year and had to suffer the consequences. What winded up happening? Anthony and his mom went without me while I stayed at home sulking. After trying to save up another trip the following year, we both got laid off. What did this mean? We had to use all our saved vacation money to catch up on 2 months of no work. Once we got our current jobs we were so grateful (even though Anthony took a drastic pay cut.) Now we had to slowly build around our new budget and get comfortable with what we had. Saving money for a big vacation like this couldn't happen until now. ;D
I hate retelling that story. It always reminds me of how weak I was to let my excitement take over and overlook something so simple. Grrrrr.

Not this year though!! This year is going to be great!!!

Along with going to Korea, my other resolution is to stay in shape by going to the gym at least 4 days a week for 2 hours a day. I need to get in shape, man. T_T

Looking back at 2010, it went by in a blink of an eye. Time just keeps coming faster and faster as you get older, doesn't it? I can't believe I'm turning 25 in a couple of months!!! *biting nails* I feel like I'm still 21.

Let's reflect back on the things that I experienced in 2000 and 10.

I'm glad someone else other than Beyonce took over the radio waves (Lady gaga and Rhianna saved my ears and my sanity on those traffic filled rides to work.)
"Like a G6" became my theme song for the rest of that year.
I started going back to school and realized that a degree IS important if I want the ideal lifestyle and career I always envision.
Networking proved to be a huge success in my work field and taught me many lessons.
Money was learned how to be tight on an even stricter budget than last year.
France was once again revisited after 14 years.
Organic meat became my new obsession and Trader Joe's became my new best friend.
Sushi was consumed almost every month. I made it a point to fulfil my cravings.
I proudly learned how to read and write in Hangul. Yay!!!
I started taking better care of my skin and obsessed over anti-wrinkle creams.
Tried to start living a simplistic and minimal lifestyle around the house........uummm..yeah. That's still under construction.
Started actually caring and understanding how politics work.
North Korea stirring trouble.
I got to see the total lunar eclipse.
Inception, Elipse, and Toy Story got my money at the theatres this year.
I started using more vegetables (and chili peppers) in my food.
I surprisingly maintained my weight while still stuffing my face.
I gave up fast food with the exception of Schlotzsky's.
Started my blog and got many great followers and readers so fast!! I love you guys!!!
