This week I've been so physically lazy and mentally exhausted I needed to relax. Today I called in from work for the first time in years and it felt good. I needed to catch up on my rest and regain my normal self again. I straight lounged the day around. My bed was left unmade, dishes were still in the sink, comfy house clothes stayed on, and hair all scraggly.
One thing I did accomplish though was looking for my airline ticket to Korea. Man, I knew Asiana was the way to go but..............not for an extra $500 a ticket!!! I compared prices with other airlines and the average price range was $1100-$1300. Not with Asiana though. Their round trip ticket is $1750!!! Yikes! I clicked off that site immediately.
You know what site never seems to fail me? Tripadvisor. I used this site last year when I went to France, and I payed no more than $1100 for a round trip fare. After doing some intensive internet searching I found a forum on traveling and this person mentioned that they use Tripadvisor all the time. Sure enough, I typed in the dates I had in mind and it compared prices from all the airlines. That itself saved me so much time. Instead of having to go on kayak or expedia separately to get a rate, Tripadvisor did it all.
So, I went on Tripadvisor and I found my ticket.......round trip...........$1080! Isn't that great?? Man, I don't think you can beat that price anywhere.......unless you know someone that works in the airline industry and can let you fly for free. Man, if only I knew someone that worked at an airport!! *clinches fist*
Meanwhile, my appetite this evening was barely there (which is highly rare.) Let me tell you, I have a pretty strong and lively personality, but the moment I get sick I whine like a little spoiled kid, or a lost kitten in the alley, or a dog begging for human food, or like there is no tomorrow. I have a very low tolerance for pain or any type of illness. Today I went through about 10 extra strength Tylenols 500 mg each! Cramps, headaches, or nausea are my worst enemies. *cringes*
Tonight my frozen rice and instant seaweed soup came to my rescue. Man, I don't know what I would've done without them? Maybe just sleep away the hunger? Haha. (I've done that many times out of laziness.)
This soup is sooo good and so quick to make. This meal only took me 4 minutes to make and that's including the 2 seconds it took to sprinkle on some pepper.... ^_-
I'm pretty sure you can find the mi yok (seaweed) guk (soup)at any asian market, especially korean. This box cost me no more than $2 and can serve 2 people.....or 1 if you have my appetite. :P
