As you are all aware about the tragic event that took place in Tucson, it is unfortunate that something like this had to happen. My heart cried out not only for Gabrielle Giffords, but to those innocent that got injured and the ones that are no longer with us.
I was just on my way to the gym when I heard the breaking news. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This is something you think that happens in other states and cities. Where I live in Tucson, it is for the most part a quite, relaxing, touristy city. The area that this shooting had occured was located in what you would call the best side of town. The north side is where all the upscale stores are located, nice houses in the Catalina mountains, snowbirds buying their houses here for the winter time, nice neighborhoods where parents can feel free to let their kids roam around and be free...etc. I was in total shock! Anthony and I both looked at eachother in disbelieve just as we were passing the Safeway. Sure enough, the road was blocked off and traffic was rerouting. It was true......... Something like this actually happend, and right up the street from where we live!
It really breaks my heart when I hear about wretched acts like these. It only reminds you of the sick world we live in. We all know how clashing the political game can be and how it can easily lead to heavy disputing. No matter the circumstances, it should never be taken to this extent.
